My Prediction: The 'Game of the Century' is here. Number 1 LSU visits number 2 Alabama in what some people are viewing as the National Championship Game. A lot can happen between now and then, but the winner looks like they'll have a clear path to New Orleans on January 9th. The loser really shouldn't be counted out. Alabama's total defense is #1 in the Nation by a landslide, while LSU ranks 4th. I took a look at common opponents so far this year and both have played Florida and Tennessee and both won by very similar scores. LSU's offense including their running game has picked up the pace in their last 3 games. They will have a tough time against a great 'Bama run defense, however. When I first saw this line I liked LSU, but after researching some more, I'm leaning towards Alabama. Their defense is just too good, they have a better turnover margin, and they're playing at home with revenge in their minds. Tough call, but take Alabama.
