Boilermakers favored in Motor City Bowl

The Purdue Boilermakers will be looking for their first bowl victory in five years when they take on the Central Michigan Chippewas in the Motor City Bowl on Dec. 26.
The Boilermakers are 8-point favorites at Sportsbook.com, one of Ultimate Capper’s recommended sportsbooks.
The Chippewas, who won the 2006 Motor City Bowl title, faced Purdue once this season, a 45-22 Boilermakers’ victory.
Purdue is just the second Big Ten team to play in the Motor City Bowl, which takes place at Ford Field, home of the NFL Detroit Lions.
In its last game, Central Michigan picked up a 35-10 win over the Miami-Ohio RedHawks in the MAC Championship Game. Miami-Ohio had been a 3-point favorite, while the score was under the total of 64 points.
The Boilermakers were defeated 27-24 by the Indiana Hoosiers last time out, as 2-point favorites. The score was under the total of 62. Kory Sheets carried the ball 12 times for the Boilermakers with two touchdowns in a losing effort.
Central Michigan was 8-5 SU and 6-4-2 ATS this season, while Purdue was 7-5 SU and 5-5-1 ATS.
Purdue is led by Dustin Keller, who was named team MVP this season. The tight end caught 61 passes for 731 yards and six touchdowns this season.
